The Nugget variety is a cross generated from a female Brewers Gold plant and a male plant that is high in the alpha acids (12.8%) and stores well. Developed in 1982, the Nugget variety has become a staple in American hop production. The taste forms itself around a high alpha content with a very pleasing aroma. Typical Beer Styles are Ales, Stout, Barley Wine.
