Overview

The Nugget variety is a cross generated from a female Brewers Gold plant and a male plant that is high in the alpha acids (12.8%) and stores well. Developed in 1982, the Nugget variety has become a staple in American hop production. The taste forms itself around a high alpha content with a very pleasing aroma. Typical Beer Styles are Ales, Stout, Barley Wine.

Growth Habit Good Pickability/Drying/Baling Very good Cone-Structure Heavy, tight and moderately long. Lupulin Plentiful and yellow-orange in color. Aroma Herbal Alpha Acid 12 - 14% w/w Beta Acid 4 - 6% w/w Cohumulone 24 - 30% of alpha acids Storageability 70 - 80% alpha acids remaining after 6 months storage at 20°C.
