At the heart of Willamette Valley Hops is four generations of hop cultivation expertise. We are a family owned and operated hop farm in Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley, and are one of the top producers of premium hops in the United States. In fact, we dare you to find better hops anywhere outside of Germany!

OUR FARM & GREENHOUSES

Protected from the harshest elements by the Coast Range to the west and the majestic Cascades to the east, the Willamette Valley (pronounced wuh-LAM-it) boasts a climate similar to the famous Burgundy region in France. Well...a bit wetter. In addition to growing some of the finest Pinot Noirs in the world, annual production in the Willamette Valley includes more than 250 different commodities annually. The valley's rich soil, mild climate, and abundant rainfall provide ideal conditions for commercial hop production. The moderate temperatures experienced during the growing season are particularly favorable for growing high quality aroma-type hops. Several alpha-type varieties also favor the Oregon climate and consistently yield higher than average alpha acid yields.

At Willamette Valley Hops we take great pride in producing a quality hop for today's brewmasters. Willamette Valley Hops are finding themselves in breweries and home brewing kettles throughout the United States. Hops have always been an integral part of Oregon's history and they will continue to be the most important part of the Willamette Valley Hops history.

Bruce Wolf - Founder /Grower / supply chain coordination

Bruce is a 4th generation hop farmer who lives and grows in Gervais, Oregon. Bruce refines his growing skills under the watchful eye of his grandfather, a master grower with decades of experience producing premium hops.

Jeff Langley - VP Marketing

Oregon born Jeff Langley brings 14 yrs of sales and marketing experience to the Willamette Valley Hops team. Jeff was also the winner of the first Widmer Collaborator with his Milk Stout recipe.

Paul Stevens - Operations Manager, Sales team management

Paul brings tons of industrial-strength sales experience to the Willamette Valley Hops team, and he's looking forward to building great relationships with our customers and fellow hop heads! With his engineering background and sales experience your customer service here at Willamette Valley Hops will be second to none.

SALES TEAM AND STAFF

Phillip Sherman – California craft hop Sales

Phillip is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento. He brings to Willamette Valley Hops almost 10 years of sales experience in varying fields. His father and grandmother grew up spending the summers working on the family hop farm in St. Paul, Oregon so you know he learned from the best.

Geoffrey F. Hess – Colorado / Central U.S. craft hop sales

Geoff With 18 years of experience with Monrovia as a Horticultural Sales Craftsman, Geoffrey understands the value in high quality plant product. He also understands the value in straight up customer service, and listening to customers’ needs in order to help solve their problems. After completing his Masters degree in Agriculture from Colorado State University he designed built and currently oversees a 2 acre hop production yard in Colorado. “The craft brewery working closely with the craft farmer makes good sustainable sense; it’s a relationship that will result in a more profitable higher quality craft beer product."

Paul M. Allard - East Coast regional craft hop sales

Paul has travelled around the world for the last 25 years in his quest for the best breweries and brewing ingredients. He blends his background in engineering and project management with his passion for home and craft brewing in a mission to match up the best hops possible to the best breweries on the East Coast.

Derek Wolf – Shipping / Sales Coordinator

Currently attending Oregon State University pursuing a degree in agriculture, Bruce's younger brother handles fulfillment on all orders
